A class “A” office space in the historical building of the Guards Economic Society is located in the "golden triangle" of St. Petersburg, 100 meters from Nevsky Prospekt. At the beginning of the 18th century, here was located the estate of the diplomat and the cabinet minister of Empress Anna Ioanovna A.P. Volynsky; the lane was named after him, to which one of the office building facades overlooks. Further on, the fate of the mansion often changed: the house was the estate of the Counts of the Sheremetevs, it housed the hotel "Volkov rooms" and rooming house, and then in the early 20th century the site and the building was bought by the Guards Economic Society.
